Stupid

Found a mojo at a petstore of all places for $60 and didn't buy it cause I wasn't to sure of the pattern.

I was most likely a normal. Not many pet shops will sell a Mojave let alone a Mojave for such a low price.

believe me it was no normal, it just came in my buddy told me, it was also WC. a little dehydrated why I didn't buy it, wasn't looking to hot health wise

Where do you think all morphs originated from? ( not meaning designer morphs aka, bumblebee, ghost pieds etc).

You had to begin with wild stock to get any morph in the first place. Just look it up, every base morph there is came from a wild caught or captive hatched animal and was then reproduced from there.

I am still skeptical. If we can get some pics i might believe it. Some normals have a Mojave look, but are definitely normal. Plus it is nearly impossible for a morph to slip through somebody's hands and end up at a pet store.

The first Hypo NERD had was purchased for $7. Look at all the Pastels that used to come through for the same back in the late 80s and early 90s. I saw them quite often for $8 ea. And how about all the YBs that have slipped through the cracks. There are many out there people don't know about. Some lots just get shipped out before they are inspected.

let me call my buddy and see if he can send me a pic real quick and you guys let me know what you think.

I wouldn't doubt it, but I wouldn't say it is a common occurance. I have picked up yellow bellies before at normal prices, but a mojo is a bit more obvious.

And most pet stores I go to sell morphs. Not the big chain ones, but most of the pet stores around here have morphs of some sort.

sorry guys been out all day, sadly the snake died last night. When my buddy went into work today it was in the cage dead.

on a side note I guess its a good thing I didn't get it.

Alright cut the guy some slack... I know for a fact that Pastels, Hypos, Mojo's, YB's even very low white Calico's come in WC shipments to importers every year. now 99.995% of this stuff gets picked over 10 fold before ever making it to the petstores but every now and then there's some neat stuff that gets through..

could it have really been a Mojo sure..I'll give them the benifit of the doubt. It's plausable..Not like he's saying he found it in the park in Up Sate NewYork or something..

You should have still gotten pics even if its dead. Just to show people you weren't lieing. But hey good thing you didn't buy it, it would've just died.

its not surprising that he saw it for that cheap. the distributor probably sold it for cheap because he knew what condition it was in. then the store probably added their normal markup for what they paid all the while being ignorant to the fact that it was a mojave. i've seen this many times before. it just goes to show, you usually get what you pay for.
