Video Clip of Our BP Drinking

Am posting as some have said they've never seen their snakes drinking. This was taken a few days ago immediately after swallowing a mouse. After eating is the only time I see ours drink. This episode is unusual because of how he's gulping down the water. Usually the movement is almost imperceptible.

I saw my Boa drink the other day, but as she is very not so normal, she did it with the right side of her head submerged.:rolleye2: Normally when I see her drink it looks like your vid.

Wow he/she was thirsty!! That's cute! Any time I've seen mine drink, which hasn't happened since I switched her to a tub, it kinda looked like she just put her head down and paused for a few secs. You've got good luck catching your BP drinking!

I love it when I catch my girl drinking, absolutely adorable. My Gogo is more of a sipper though, haven't caught her guzzling yet lol

Thanks, all! It's always very dainty when drinking, with almost no movement at all, so that episode of shoving the nose in and chugging it down was very unusual (that's why I got the camera out). Here are a couple of photos I took a month or so ago of more elegant sipping, LOL!

^^ those are some nice shots. i see Mystique drinking quite often but im always like a deer in the headlights and by the time i snap out of it to grab the camera she is done and just looking at me. probably laughing at me in her head.

I see mine drink all the time, one of them "chugs" like yours does (my female normal) and the other sips it nice and slowly (my male)

Yup mine always drinks after eating...I haven't seen my lemon pastel drink though but I know he drinks cause his water bowl is lower everyday...thanks for sharing this vid though for those who haven't seen their snakes drink.
