    Spider or Pinstripe..?? $$$?
I'm so mixed up of what I really want to get at the show, and I have a lot of time to think about it, and now I'm getting all excited for it because you guys just HAD to put up some pics of the Daytona show. Anywho, I know some of you that went to the Daytona show, and other people have been to quite a few shows, so I was just trying to decide between these two morphs, then decide if I really want a JCP. Yes, I cannot decide at all lol. I love BPs, and I just love how beautiful they can be and how easy it is to care for them (besides the humidity problem I got....... though I got that under control now) so I'm just doing a doube.. triple.. quadrouple (sp?..).. check. Soooo, for those of you that went to the Daytona show and those who have been to quite a few expos, I got a couple of questions.

1- Which would be a good next morph to get (Spider or Pinstripe)? The two morphs are just beautiful, and I really like both, but which would be more of a croud pleaser and more interesting to see? (when people come over, they like to see my snakes, so if I got a BP that was stunning I wonder what comments I would get.. yes I like to show off my snakes sometimes lol... xD).

2- I know I've posted a few threads on pricing, but here is MY VERY LAST ONE (promise!). How much would a baby (and I mean like a BABY, not a yearling, a little cute innocent baby) female Spider cost (I know depending on color, but I want price ranges and I don't care if it would be a high or low white Spider, they are all beautiful)and how much would a female Pinstripe cost?

..I sorry I just cannot ever make up my mind on things, but I'm snake crazy. Especially BP crazy, and I would love to have a beautiful morph for my first BP morph (that does not include normals lol). And also, sorry if most of my thread posting gets annoying or I post up too many, but this forum has been really helpful! And also, if any of you have a Pinstripe or Spider female adult, and you got pics, please show me I would love to see it! I'm looking for a female because I have one male already, and if I were to breed him to two females, well that's double the eggs lol xD. Thank you for looking at this long thread, and sorry it was just too long!

people always compliment my spider, and when i show the the pin, they say that other one is so bright!

and i got my spider for 200 (male), and my pin for 300 (female)

when i went to the super show, spiders were like 200 - 400, and pins were 250 - 450

i suggest spiders bc they're my fav morph ;p

    And I love pins.

What do you like better ?.............good now you have your answer (lol).

If you still cant figure it out look at the combos for both. I think the spider blends well w/ the pastel much better, but I'd take the pin in ANY other combo over the spider. But again its what you like that counts.

Ultimately this should guide you, however if you in tend to breed & defect management is something you are not ready to do, consider the pins.

Yes I was planning on getting one or the other for a pet but also to breed with my male. I think down here at shows it seems to be a bit more pricey. Though, last year I wasn't looking at the BP prices too much, I was just walking around in amazement. Hopefully I'll find a Pin for at least $250, but if not I may just go ahead and get the Spider if I find one for $250 or less. It just depends how much money I can get by the time the expo starts.

A pin is going to be a lot more than $250, especially a female. I just recently got my male for $400 although the price of males has come down considerably since then.

Ok so I went on Kingsnake and the first one I saw (selling male Pins) was $250, but of course it's plus shipping.

And on another one I saw some person selling Spider males for $150 and Spider females for $200. Seems like a great price, though, I heard that sometimes people will sell their Spiders for less money if they have the wobble.. depending on how bad it is.

Maybe a Spider would be a good first morph? It's not a whole lot of money, and I do love the Spider morph. At a local pet shop they were selling a Spider for $350 and a Cinny for $375. I thought that maybe have been a little too pricey?

I would have to say the same. I love spiders and It took me a while to find one that i like. Now Im just waiting for her to come home some time ;) (Thanks Mike!).

There is also so many variations with spiders. You have to find one that you like.

Do you like high whites or low whites?
    Darker color or lighter color?
    Thick pattern or reduced pattern?
    Dots or no dots?
Alot of "O"s? some "O"s? No "O"s at all??

Dont just go off and buy the first spider you see. :gj:

To me, any BP (including a Spider) morph is beautiful to me, so if the Spider is dark or light, reduced or thick patterned, has dots or not, lots of "O"s or not, it doesn't matter to me. People may say they have ugly BPs (normally people with the really normal normals) but I think their BPs are beautiful. When I'm at the expo, and I see a Spider that gets my interest, I would get it even if it did have a wobble (though, not really looking for one with a wobble but I don't think anyone would get one with a wobble so it would be nice to get one with a wobble to give it a good home). :]

To my understanding ALL spiders wobble, just to different degrees. Like someone else said before in this thread, If you are not ready to deal with wobbles, dont get a spider.

I'd say spider, I think they have more wow factor to me. I got my girl for $235 shipped. As for avoiding wobbles as much as possible, ask the breeder if the parents, siblings and the animal has it (of course finding a trustworther seller is key).

I tend to agree, my girl passes the nose touch test and the righting itself test but at night when she crawls around her tank (with her head up, hunting) she has a slight bob up and down making her movements not nearly as smooth as my other snakes.

Just keep looking until you see an animal that you like, whichever morph. Trust me you'll find it, I often find too many!

What concerns you so much about the wobble/spin ?? It's really not that big of a deal.. The wobble or spin really isnt like a disability or anything.

The key is to keep looking. When you find the right one, you'll know it beyond a shadow of a doubt. You may go to your show and not find one that tickles your fancy they way you imagined. If it doesn't, don't settle. Believe me when i tell you if you just buy one to buy one, when the right one does come along, you'll be kicking yourself forever for not waiting. ;)

I would recommend going to the website of your upcoming Expo, find out which vendors are going to be there. Visit there websites and see what they have and you can also contact them and find out if they have anything not listed on their website. If they have one you want, I'm sure they will bring it to the show for you...

Tough call. Spiders are a little cheaper. Both are great breeders and make great mutations. If you get a pin. Look for a bright dorsal stripe, they make great kingpins if you ever breed it to a lesser. Depends if you want to breed and what you want to make. But just one snake , probably spider.
