Calling everyone that has been to the NY metro reptile expo in white plains.

Dose anyone know how about much 07 female spiders and pinstripes cost? How about a 08 male pastel? Also do they sell herpstats or helix thermostats
? if so how much? thanks.

The last NY show had LOTS of Boas everywhere and not too many BP's i'm sure it'll be different this time around with everyone hatching 09 babies now

They do sell helix and herpstat therms....I believe at the reptile basics table (among others)
I have no idea what 07 pins and pastels would be (possibly $500-800??). I gather that an 08 male pastel would be $150 to $250?

Yeah last time I was there I remember seeing a Helix thermostat at the RBI table. Along with a bunch of Ranco's.

I'm also contemplating making a trip down to this show in September myself. I'm just curious as to how the pricing is there compared to online vendors. I hate to make the trip down just to find the prices are higher than what i can find through the sellers on sites like this.

I was thinking about going to.But i don't know if can make it.

first off you might not find 07 pins or spiders there, much better chance of finding 08-09's and babies go anywhere from 200-400, really depends on the breeder. Youll pay more for a snake from BHB than from a small hobby breeder thats for sure.

are there any of those small hobby breeders around here? if i cant get those snakes in the expo were can i?

i was actually checking out your website and i will be going to the reptile expo the 13th in white plains and if they don't have the female spiders and pinstripes i need i might go for your adult male spider. How do you accept payment so i will know for the future?

At the White Plains show? Depending on how much $$ you have, I'm sure that you could get anything you want....

money is not realy a problem, im not willing to pay more then 700$ for 1 snake though, but you realy think thell have any morph i need there? Cause im looking for breedable female spider, female pinstripe, male pastel

They have a list of expected vendors for the show, why don't you email them and see if they're bringing some of the items you're looking for?

You should contact IAN G from outback reptiles. Yes he does do a lot of wc imports but he also has a very large and seperate captive breeding facility and has amazing animals. Contact him and see if he has what you need. If he does he will probably be able to bring it to the show for you. Todd

Yes. Reptile Basics have a booth and should have what you are looking for.

Reptile basics _always_ has a booth up on the stage, to the left (as you face the stage at the far end of the hall) of Outback Reptiles. Rich's truck is only so big, though, so if there's something you want, you should probably call ahead.

Only eyes-closed rodents are allowed at the show, so you'll find pinks and fuzzies - and freezerrats. The last White Plains show was the first one I've seen ASF at, and I didn't have any rats with appropriately sized babies to foster them under. This time . . . pretty sure I do, so if I see ASF again, I'm gonna grab some and see how they go. (Have had rats foster mousepinks - they're great mommas!)

As for which morphs will be there . . . . That all depends on who's showing and what they brought. I've seen breedable adults of everything from normals to lavendars, and once saw a pair of fires locked up on the display table! Contact vendors you're interested in, and good luck on your quest!

Reptile shows are different from buying online... you never know quite what will show up, and what the vendors will decide to bring. HOWEVER, if you have your heart set on a particular morph/gender, you should contact the vendors in advance and ask them what they have available. I don't see why a breeder wouldn't bring along a requested animal if they thought they were going to make a sale.

WP is a very fun show, very crowded, but you can get some very good prices and cool animals.

is 3" heat tape belly heat enough for a adult female? Do i need 11in? if so can i have 11in and 3in both running off the same helix or will the temps be off

i have leopard geckos and some smokin bearded dragons. i may have 2 09 male 100% het albino bp's but nothing breedable. Kirk

Hey kirk BHB has been there before a few times this isnt the first time.
And i'll be looking for your table to check out you leo's my kids love them we have a lot but they always want more.

i have only missed about 6 shows in the last 10 years and unless they had come many moons ago when the shows were still downsatirsi honestly do not recall them ever being there. but anyway i guess it really doesnt matter. Kirk

they were at the last few shows there i do think they missed one in the past few shows there. iStoped going there when i was down stairs and didnt go for a few years finly started going agian this year do to BHB being there. and i must say the show has gotten a lot better.

BHB missed one a show or two back, due to the roof being blown off their facility, I think - but yeah, they've been there before. My son caught me by surprise telling me "Hey Dad, the guy from Snakebytes is over there . . ."

It's always a bunch of fun, and I'm thinking I'll be rather able to relax and enjoy this one!
