New Love of My Life

Here is what I decided to get at the Chicago Tinley Park Expo.

I had no idea these guys were around until I started looking at and researching skinks. I had planned to get a blue tongue, but how could you not want a lil dinosaur/dragon lizard in your collection?

I fell in love at first sight and here is my new addition, the red eyed crocodile skink. Not sure of the sex yet.

Yeah, I really loved the look to these croc skinks. I maybe still want a BTS, but later on down the road since they need a bigger range of food/space ect.

I was thinking of a BTS awhile back, but my heart has been set on a B&W tegu for a while now.

You will have to keep us updated as your Skinkasaurus rex grows.

THANK YOU! I've been trying to think of something to put in my 2'x18"x18" rainforest setup. Couldn't find a lizard I thought was as cool as a snake. I HAVE to have one of these now.

Pssst This is an opinion but one people should take into mind, but underground reptiles is really not a great place to buy from, sick animals and lots of wild caughts.

awesome skink :D my local petstore has one but they want a horrendous price :P

While I don't agree with poor husbandry from anyone and I don't agree with wild caughts to supply the market, unfortunately for this skink, until more people start breeding them we have to deal with wild caught reptiles to fill the market. But I did not know underground reptiles wasn't a great place to buy from, Thanks for giving us all a heads up! :D
