    Worming Ball Python?
Is there a drug/method of worming? I haven't found that info yet.
    Thanks!

I would perform a fecal on the feces first to determine if it actually had parasites, and then I would choose the proper medication for that specific parasite. Some dewormers only get certain types of parasites, and sometimes a combination of dewormers is needed to fully eradicate everything.

I would start by taking a small amount of fecal material from the snake in question to the vet so they can determine if the snake needs deworming or not. I hope this helps! :)

When I suspected one of my snakes having worms I immediately took it to the vet. Not knowing if it was worms or something worse.

What the vet did was gave it a liquid medicine that was swallowed to get rid of worms if she indeed did have them...Then she was fine... :D

Yeah, I was trying to avoid the inevitable vet trip. The vets here always end up costing me $1K or more.
The ones that WON'T run the bill up(especially for something so dumb as a worming) don't know squat about reptiles.
I can worm my dogs, and my cats, but I gotta go make an appointment, take time off work, and deal with an idiot vet who can't I.D. the type of snake, in order to get a single dose of wormer and then pay several hundred dollars.
I'd just about bet that they end up giving me the wrong wormer too.
    Thanks anyway.

Well, if you can just take a fecal sample in, say it's your dog's, and get them to tell you what type of parasites are present, I can easily help you. Or send the poopie here! :) I'm always up for a fecal, LOL. Overnighting it would cost alot less than spending money at an incompetent vet.

Only if they are boxes that don't have the Harmless Live Reptile stickers on them, hehe. No worries, I won't send poo to your house, I'm sure you get your share ;)

1K?!!! Wtf?!! My vet specializes in reptiles and still my bills don't go over $100 for one snake.

    Good luck, though!

Well once I took in my spider(spinning head wobbler) for an RI, and it was actually mouth rot. They however decided she had IBD. $1200 later... she's still a happy healthy head wobbling fool over 11 months later.
The other time I took in a RI(that was an RI) and they had to keep him, and put a breathing tube in through his SIDE, and kept him in an o2 cage.. etc etc. That was originally a $1400+ bill that I got them to knock down to about $800(since I told them to start that I had $500 ONLY).
This is actually the only place I've found that knows reptiles. The other vet that was touted as a reptile vet? He didn't even open the snake's mouth to see a bad case of mouth rot, and was going to say "Oh he's fine" and send the underweight MORPH with massive mouth rot home... as perfectly healthy. AND tried to tell me that the mite sample I brought in off the RATS, came off the SNAKE. Umm... I keep them, I know exactly what that mite came off of, and it wasn't even CLOSE to a snake mite in any way. It was even the WRONG COLOR. Once I insisted that he look in the mouth, I had to open it, asked for baytril finally since it was obvious the vet knew squat, and was given FIVE(5) doses. That's like giving a pnuemonia patient one antibiotic pill and sending them home.
Always a hassle around here. If I ever find a decent reptile vet, that won't kill me with overcharges, I'll take him cake. I'll take him cheesecake. With sprinkles. A whole bottle.
    Sigh.

1st off why do you want to worm you ball? Normaly you never need to worm them. I almost never have to worm import or captive hatched babies. If you set them up in a stress free inviornment they will kick parasites on their own (all animals will) unless it has a parasite infestation (overload) this is the only time i would worm a ball or any animal. You can tell without going to the vet if you are feeding it regularly and it is not gaining weight or getting skinnier...
