Share Your Normals - Normals are Beautiful!
Most of us who have a love affair with ball pythons know that our love affair started with a normal.
And most all of us wondered if OUR normal was special or different? Well - they are. They're all so varied and different and gorgeous in their own right.
This thread was started to accomplish a few things. First as a central place that those falling in love with their own first ball pythons can come to this thread and see all the variances in normals - from busy patterned, to reduced pattern. From light to dark and everything in between.
And secondly - for all of us to show off our favorite normals, both past and present.
So post up your pictures and show off your beautiful normals!
I'll be back later to share some of mine as well!

What a great thread idea!
Here is my baby Julius. He was the start of this crazy, insane, ridiculous addiction and my poster boy for ball pythons :D This was last summer, I need some more sunshine pictures. He's about 950 grams now :)

This is when I first got him.

Here's my weird girl Audrey. She's high orange and has a really cool pattern. She's about 550 grams in this picture.

Here she was when she was a baby.

Here is her sister Lucille when I first got her too.
http://i40.tinypic.com/2wcmzat.jpg
Here they are together. She's about 100 grams lighter than her sister.

Re: Share Your Normals - Normals are Beautiful!
Sorry guys, but you ain't got nothing on this girl! She's not my first snake, but she's definitely the cutest littel normal I have.

Here she is a few days after eating a good-sized rat (it may have been a bit big, but she took it like a champ! This was about three weeks ago, so she's definitely ready for another feed now.)

Look at this belly! It's completely clean, until you get to her vent. If I didn't know any better, I'd think she has something in her. ;)

Fresh shed Anya! 925g... I believe she will be a very successful breeder next year as she has been bowl wrapping since november this season, I almost think she is glowing. At the very least she has gotten much lighter with age :D

Bummer, LGray23's normals look just like mine. There goes my hopes that there might be something hidden in there :P

Nice day out, sadly as I was snapping the shot some cloud cover was rolling in so he's not as gold-looking as normal.

Yes I agree, very good for a thread. Morphs get wayyyy to much credit and we forget where most of us started.
This is my very first ball Indiana. We got him from someone in the classifieds who didn't want him anymore. He is puppy dog tame and the fist snake I introduce "non snake people" too.

http://img.tapatalk.com/cfdb45f7-9232-e34f.jpg
This is Zuri out 2000g female. I also got her from the classifieds. I got her for next to nothing considering she was a breedable size when I got her. She's locked with my spider 2 times so I'm hoping for babies soon!

Those are my big ones and we have one 400g baby lilith who we bought as normal but will hope to prove her out as something.

Here is my normal female Heisenberg. I have had her for almost a year. She is the first of my current ball pythons and still one of my favorites. I had a few snakes many years ago but just got back into them.
The day we brought her home.

Some gorgeous normals! I didn't get a chance to come back last night and post some of mine, but I'll try later today!

This is Nibs. Our first BP and we just found out this past weekend that it's a girl. That makes her even sweeter than she already is.
Here she is resting while my daughter cleans her tub:

Here's my wife holding her (she was absolutely scared of snakes):

Re: Share Your Normals - Normals are Beautiful!
I have to agree with Robin loving all these normals gonna try my best to photograph the female that started it all for me almost 7 years ago. Big girl I think she is flirting with 4000 grams.

Re: Share Your Normals - Normals are Beautiful!
I'm not sure if we are including hets in this thread so I will only post the ones that I know or am not sure are totally normal.
I included this first girl because until I can prove her out she is still a normal. She could be het hypo though.

Re: Share Your Normals - Normals are Beautiful!
Hets are fine - because they have normal patterning!
Here some of my past (had to make room to grow up the morph girlies - but all in great homes now!):
http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e9...ophieJune6.jpg
http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e9...Girls/NG11.jpg
This one is at Wildmorphs now
http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e9...irls/NG6-1.jpg
http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e9...va/Godiva4.jpg
http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e9...y/IMG_4961.jpg
This one is at Deborah's now

http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e9.../ReeseApr2.jpg
http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e9.../SierraJan.jpg
I regret letting this one go - because the person I gifted her to has since gotten rid of her, and never told me. I would have taken her back.
http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e9...ra/Sahara7.jpg
And this was a boy that I purchased as a girl - but I loved him all the same - the seller realized their mistake the day after they shipped and were putting away his feeding cards - and let me replace him and keep him.

Next post - current normals in my collection.

Re: Share Your Normals - Normals are Beautiful!
I do have to say - it's tough letting normals that you raised from babies go, and so when I finally, after resisting for close to 2 years to letting any of my normals go, realized if I wanted to take my collection in the direction that I wanted it to go that I'd have to - I still had a few normals that I don't think will ever leave.
Here is what I have still in my collection.
This girl produced some killer black back cinnies and black back normals last year and is being bred to the same male this season:
http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e9...PretJune17.jpg
http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e9...BindiBall6.jpg
Nothing really special about this girl - other than she has just wormed her way deep in my heart for some reason. She's laid two solid clutches for me (my poss het clowns, and I haven't bred her since, because I wasn't sure if I planned to produce more poss hets clowns, and I wanted to keep her "pure" and knowing she'd only ever been bred to this one male - no possibility of retained sperm from other males) She is the shortest snake I own, but she is pure muscle. And I adore her!
http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e9...ho/EchoG10.jpg
I really and truly need to get new pictures of this girl. I'm trying to breed her to my YB this season, but I haven't witnessed any locks.
http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e9...ThePickle3.jpg
http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e9...le/Pickle7.jpg
http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e9...ThePickle8.jpg
This girl is at Camp Deborah's this season:
http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e9...ilee/Bail2.jpg
And this girl has practically become a permanent resident of Camp Wildmorphs:
http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e9...nnahJune11.jpg
And the hets:
Proven Het Hypo

Proven Het Clown

Poss Het Clown
http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e9...a/IMG_4799.jpg
Oh - and I forgot a couple other "PAST" girls - you might recognize this picture as one of the Avatar choices:

this is a better picture of her:

I love all the variation I'm seeing with these Normals.
I always joke that Normals are my favorite "morph", but the more I see these beautiful animals, the more I think it may be true!

Re: Share Your Normals - Normals are Beautiful!
I don't know how I forgot this male - he's still here too. He was posted on Craigslist as a female. It was the first time I didn't check before paying.
Supposedly the girl's friend had experience with snakes and was a vet tech and probed him as a girl.
When I got him home, I popped him and got the penes, and was so upset, I put him in his QT tub and didn't do much with him other than clean and feed him.
After I got over my disgust with myself for not checking first, I started to realize that he's pretty darn easy on the eyes!

and he's got the "milkiest" belly:

Okay...... since we are including hets. This is the last of my normal looking girls. She is a het pied and probably my favorite of all my snakes.
