    Butt first!
Toby is such a dork... I just gave him three F/T hopper mice (they were out of adults), and for some reason he took the second one butt-first.:D It was much smaller than his usual prey, so luckily he had no problem getting it down. Anything to worry about when they do this?? Here are some pictures of the process:

P.S. He's very happy with his new tub! :gj: (don't worry, I'm fixing that acu-rite wire & cleaning up the holes tonight)

My male at its large mouse backwards today, but it was live bc he wont take FT and it struck the backside and i felt bad for it because i walked away came back and the snake had its legs all locked up pretty much and it couldnt bend to bite the snake (always a good thing on both counts) it was still squirming after about 5 minutes so i reached in and moved his tail end and shook the mouse a little then it was finally over. I really need to get him on FT.

I can't see it being a problem! It looks like it went down and did not come back up so it should be okay!

It's also a Sterilite 28qt, if I remember correctly... how big is your snake?

Yep this is a sign that you can increase the size of the snake's prey! Although I see you are feeding multiple items, a nicely larger single Item will work too.

Yeah, I know the prey was too small! :D As I said, the store was out of adult mice, which is what he got last week - so I offered 3 of the hoppers as an alternative, but he only ended up eating two.

The tubs seem the same size, but like I guess different design, thats why I ask :)

They are not big, but seem to be growing fast. the 2 babies on the left are about 3 month old. Just ate, meal too big, store didnt have anything else  but they being the pigs they are they ate them. The normal on the left knows me too well now, somehow she knows when is feeding time. She raises her head at me looking for her prey on feeding days. I know one day she will tag me or end up grabing the prey from my hands before I let it go. She is the most vicious eater.

The Axanthic on the far right is in shed, he is a little more than 1 year old, he was seriously underweight and thin when I got him, just shy of 300g. He is closing 500 now. :D

Anyways not the best pic (or photographer :P) but this is the only way I could get them 3 in the same pic.
