spider ball python

I dunno whats going on with my bp for the last couple weeks he has been laying with half of his body upside down what could this possibly mean??

i never heard of that but spiders are weird they have that wobble and crazy traits but there the besst eaters. My bumble bees and spider kills meals like nothing but as for the laying sideways might just like it. but if its very slow and doesnt realy move and stays like that go see a vet

yea he moves i just notice that every couple of days he is like that along with my pastel female that started sitting in her water bowl very strange creatures

if shes in her water bowl might be that its to hottt or shes just cooling down do u have temps on the heating pad

yup 91 and has not changed

oh ok just making sure shes just cooling down then as for the spider there wacky as hell but the best eaters dont know why still a unsolved mystery lol

Based on those two different snakes with the odd behavior I would suggest you look for mites and see if you can treat for it.

Provent-A-Mite is the one of the top used items for that. I have used it with great success. :gj:

I say soak the snake in a mite bath, and every time you change the bedding treat the bedding with provent-a-mite, quite possibily the greatest product ever.

If there are mites on one of your snakes, there's mites on all of your snakes.
Treat em all, and do it more than once. When you clean the stuff from the housing, make sure it's completely submerged in water, sneaky little bastards will survive even if a small part of your hiding box is above the water.

Provent a mite once a month, but make sure it's completely dry in the cage before you put the snake back in, i usually wait an hour, and if you get any on the glass wipe it off right away.

Also, when you bring new snakes home, don't even wait, give em a mite bath right away and provent the cage.

My spider has been doing this since I got him, I don't think you have to worry about anything.
