Isn't it funny how they notice the smallest thing?
I just did a complete clean. Switched out my reptibark for aspen (it dyed her scales brown when she was in shed because of the 70% humidity?). I also got her a bp safe water bowl. I was just using a cereal bowl, and decided I should get something sturdy. It's only a little bigger, and a different color, but she thinks its the most amazing thing in there. She's checked out all sides for about 10 min. lol. Maybe i shouldn't have bought a pink one?? Just had to share my laughter. Felt funny laughing at myself.

Maybe she has just realized that pink is the greatest color in the world!

Haha that's cute!! :D I don't think anyone knows for sure whether or not they can see color, so it's probably not that. But it probably "smells" different or is a different shape so she has to check it out.

I use coconut bedding for my baby and every time I change it (and every time I mist) she always has to explore the entire tank and seems very interested in the bedding, sniffing it etc. Their tank is their "territory" so they always have to know what's going on within it

This is very debated. some snakes will refuse to eat white rats while others will eat anything placed in front of them. It would be pretty awesome to have some scientific evidence on this.

i agree. It was probably the smell, it did come from a pet store. lol. It is feeding day, and I was worried about her eating after a fresh clean, but i thought i would try and if she didn't want to eat, i would wait. She took it like she had been starved. lol. Maybe the pet store dish was a way of pre-scenting. I did wash it off, and he keeps the rodents in the back, but it is interesting.

I've got one that only eats white, completely ignores the brown/blacks.

I'm going with the first :P I honestly think she would clean out the pet store if given the chance. she tried her first adult mouse tonight (small). Which i thought was huge for her (weighed 140g's a few weeks ago). And she still came out of her hide, when i went to check on her, looking for more. i think I should switch to every 5 days, instead of 7. How can you tell if they are overweight?
