Do Albinos have problems?
I know in most animals if something is albino it usually has some sort of problem. Like sensitive to light, not good eyesight, sensitive skin..ect.
Any prob's when it comes to BP's?
Thanks,
Mike~

Nope not particularly, mine's a eating machine.
Re: Do Albinos have problems?
Many animals have the associated problems with albinism, yet as we look at ball pythons, they aren't exposed to alot of light due to being nocturnal, not sure how great the eye sight on any ball pythons is due to them using there heat pits to sense heat and movement. In conclusion what we do know is that albino ball pythons are kept very well in captivity, and many of the factors you were concerned about are eliminated in the proper captive enviroment that we provide these snakes.

I know some people will tell you the caramel albinos have kinking problems. I believe that is related to inbreeding more than the morph because I've had a few clutches of them hatch and all were without kinks.

We just had a thread on pretty much this same subject, with a spin in the direction of Darwin's theories. You will probably find a lot of what you are looking for in that thread:
