    Boa Constrictor Found In Couch!
I was watching the news for New York (Where i live) and i saw this report come up about a 4 foot red tailed boa constrictor found in a couch, in Brooklyn, New York! I read up on a lot of the articles and they said that boas are Illegal to own in NYC!?!?!?!?! Either they need to get their facts straight or reptiles shops and i have been breaking the law for a long time. Im gonna say they need to get their facts straight. Another thing i find Extremely IGNORANT is the part that states "Invades" home, as in the article from the first link below. A harmless animal like that boa can't "INVADE" someones house. It was simply curious and looking for a tight, warm place to hide in. This animal is currently in a shelter... and... I want to adopt it! :D I mean, it is a BEAUTIFUL Boa! look at the article from the second link to see a really nice picture of it.

Here are a few links to the articles in which the story/stories are told:

I like the part that says they can get up to 14 ft long. Don't they only go up to 8?

I can't find anything that says new york has a ban on boas and pythons. They seem pretty convinced there is.

Oddly enough, i don't mind this tell too bad. No extreme horror story. The kids seemed to have kept their cool when telling the story, no adding to the horrible snake wrap too much. I'd like someone from NY or with knowledge of the laws there to step in and confirm on the illegal issue.

These stories always crack me up.. I watch specials on animal planet and stations like that all the time that show a python when they are talking about a boa. They always make them sound sooooo vicious and like they are out to get everyone. I get a good chuckle out of it, we are MUCH smarter!!! Ha ha....;)

Boas and Pythons are illegal in city limits. That is true.
Not in the state of New York, just NYC.
