Hate to ask: Desert ghost X Pastel
I hate to ask this but I found a desert ghost female that I think is gorgeous and I have a male pastel I plan to breed when he's up to weight. I was just curious what I would get if I bred them together. I tried to look it up elsewhere but couldnt find it. Can anyone help me out? Thanks...

This might be a dumb question, but isn't desert ghost the co-dom type of ghost morph? Last I heard they were still around $5k a piece?

From what I've gathered there is a desert ball(co-dom) and a desert ghost(simple rec)...I maybe completely wrong on this, but I think that is what is goin on.

    http://www.albeysreptiles.com/desert07_1.htm

there is a link to Albey's write up on his desert ball, but it doesn't mention it anywhere in there. Maybe somebody with a little more knowledge can elaborate on this.

The Desert Ghost can be both co-dom/dom and simple recessive. It depends on what line you get apparently.

Alright if any of the offspring come out as Desert Ghosts or Pastel Desert hosts, then you know you have the co-dom line, lol.

Or he could simply ask the breeder that he buys the animal from?

I think NERD is working on the recessive line. I've hunted pictures from both lines to compare but no luck.

aaron is right. There is a recessive Desert ghost project that Nerd and the Bells are working with.
The Desert Pastel was Stan Chiras' project and now is Pro Exotics. Of course, Pete kahl is also working with his own Desert pastel line and Both lines of Desert pastel are Dominant or Codominant.
I believe there is a photo of a Pastel Desert Ghost that the Bells produced on amirs webpage(yellowbelly balll python.com ??). the snake is smokin hot!
