They will come out at night and look for food. Get some live catch traps and you should get them back safely. If not just borrow someones cat for a few days.

My cat cornered my escapee, I threw a small blanket over it and got her out of the room. I got the tongs and got him back. He was then the next food.

I setup a ramp to a high tub that they couldnt jump out. I setup a sea saw trap ontop so that they would fall inside. A little food to make them go up the ramp (dont make the ramp to steep) and I cought both of mine the same night. If you need pictures I will get some for you.

Make sure it's deep enough.. I've had a hopper ASF hit the ceiling from my hand..

My cat cornered one escapee, and my dog another. They won't be able to get them, but they'll whine until you do. :]

    The trap is pretty impressive!

I use snap traps. I have only had one escapee in the past, and the snap trap got him the first night it was set. Now I keep a few set up at all times just because....

We have had several would be feeder escapee's and luckily we were (though not easily or non-frustration inducing) able to catch them ourselves by cornering them and getting them with the feeding tongs....but we have 3 cats and a very playful Shih Tzu that would have been more than willing to help us catch them if it came down to it.

someone obviously has been watching entirely too much tom and jerry
if they are small enough i just use those live mouse traps(the metal ones without the plastic window) just put some bird seed in it.
