Re: Same bp?
Hi,
First impressions?
No that is not the same snake.
But to be certain you would need to look for identifying marks on the top pic then take pictures of your animal at the same body position/ pose to compare like with like.
Did they specifically say you would recieve the same animal that was pictured? It is not uncommon for people to put up pictures "representitive of the morph" rather than take photo's of a large number of pastels say.
Is your snake in shed at the moment?

Re: Same bp?
That most definitely does not look like the same snake.
In fact, I'd be willing to put money on it.
Just by comparing small markings on the first snake and the second, they look nothing alike. Even the size seems way off.
I agree with Dr Del, did they specifically mention you'd be getting the same snake as pictured?

Re: Same bp?
Not the same snake, and the one you received does not look pastel to me, and even the pastel pictured looks really unhealthy, but that could just be a bad photo. As far as I am concerned, it doesnt matter if the they said they were or were not sending the snake pictured, it is assumed that if you are interested in buying a pastel, they are not going to send you a normal. I would get back in contact with the breeder, but honestly I smell a scam. Good luck and hope everything works out, but if it doesnt, let the community know so we can keep it from happening again.
Edit: I noticed the blue eyes, but I really doubt it would mask the pastel coloring totally. I still smell fish.

Re: Same bp?
Nope. Not the same snake. Look at the striping on the neck. The first one has a decent stripe going on. The second one barley even has a marking there.
They are both Pastels. The second one looks like its in shed right now.
I also agree with Dr Del's question.

I agree. It does look like a normal and the original pastel looks slightly odd.
Although I'm hoping you keep the snake and give it a home, I would definitely get back in contact with the breeder and if it turns into a messy situation, warn the community about it.

Re: Same bp?
no its not look at the neck marks. on the baby it has a stripe coming from the back of the head on the other its two seperate spots. Also make sure that that pic wasnt a general pic for their pastels. Now if it was settled that that pic is the one you paid for i would contact them.

Re: Same bp?
Those are definitely 2 different snakes. They are both pastels, the first pic is of a baby and the second is of one that has already begun to brown out.
Not the same animals but both pastels nonetheless.

Re: Same bp?
No way they are the same snake. Like every one said, the neck markings are way off, and so are many of the smaller markings on the body.
