Another Sad Day
My first pet rat, Kibbles, died this morning. I cried like a baby, was late for work, and I am just about ready to cry as I type this.
He was an awesome pet rat. He was smarter than most dogs and a real independent little guy, he will be dearly missed.
This is a very sad day for me.... :( :rainon:

Re: Another Sad Day
Poor little man. I just had to put one of my older rescue girls to sleep a few days ago. She came to be with three legs(hence her name Three-Legs). Her lungs were getting bad very quickly and when I saw her gasping, I knew it was her time. Still kissy to the end.
Sorry you lost your boy, Connie.

ohh! I'm so sorry for your loss. I still remember how hard it was when my girls passed away, if only they lived longer! *hugs*

Re: Another Sad Day
Big hugs Connie. I know how these little furry fellows can work their way right into your heart. If you're coming to Taylor this weekend stop by the ScaleKids table and you can have a real hug. :)
I know Kibbles had a wonderful life with you and though that's not much comfort at a time like this, it is a great gift to give any of creature that much care, concern and love. Good for you and good for Kibbles.

Thanks Austin, Ashley and Rich. Kibble's death was one I knew would be very hard to deal with. He was a pet only, having been retired from breeding after only 2 litters.
He wasn't a very strong and robust guy, he had a weak immune system, but what he lacked in vitality he made up for in awesomeness.
Thanks a lot to you Jo, glad to hear you will have a table this month, although I don't believe Chris and I will be attending. You always have just the right thing to say and I would ask you to put a rain check on that hug for now.
