How does your BP refuse a meal?
Never happened to me yet, but how can you draw a line when your BP won't eat? The last time I feed my BP he keep striking the rat without even biting it for almost an hour. (I am dragging the rat with a thong in front of him) Then when I almost give up, he bites and constrict. I am just wondering how other BP refuse their meal, since I've read that it will happen once in a while. Any input will be appreciated. Thanks. :snake:

Usually they just show no interest and avoid the meal. Maybe it was because you were using your THONG try using Tongs they will hold onto the food better. JK!!

No interest at all. In fact they seem more afraid than anything sometimes. Are you using live rats? If you are using p/k or f/t you could leave it in the tub/tank and leave the little one be. BPs don't particularly like audiences.

My BP usually just refuses to eat(that hasn't happened in a while) by not acknowledging that it's there.

I'm in the process of changing a couple over to F/T. They smell something interesting, so they come up to it, sniff around it a little, then turn away and go the opposite direction of the rat. Kind of annoying, but that's what mine do.

It's like they tease me making me think they're about to take it...

Tank will sometimes stalk the rat but if the rat comes too close, he'll shy away. Sometimes he won't acknowledge it unless it comes in his face. Then he backs up. It almost seems like he's intimidated by it. Or he's thinking "EEEWWWW! Don't touch me!"

Yes I am using live rats.

Hmm.. thanks guys, then I assume my ball is just not as good as others to catch it's prey. He really loves ambush than stalking. Oneday I'll convert him to f/t. :snake:

Why are you dragging a live rat around with tongs?
