Re: My new snake, Goliath
He's a lovely bp and I'm sure a wonderful pet snake that will give you years of pleasure in owning him. :)
Re: My new snake, Goliath
he's a cutie. Last year I acquired my first bp, a normal male that I also named Goliath. he is an 06, not sure of his exact age though. This is a picture of him:

Re: My new snake, Goliath
Nice snake and i like the name... One question, what the heck is inside its water dish?
Re: My new snake, Goliath
Welcome to the forum!!!!
There is certainly nothing called "just a normal" ;) Your ball python is devilishly handsome :P
And....yes...what is in the water bowl?? Is that a rock? Inquiring mind and all.... :D
Re: My new snake, Goliath
Welcome! great looking snake.
also...more husbandry questions... Do you have hides?

Re: My new snake, Goliath
yea, it is a rock in his water bowl. he kept knocking it over, so i cleaned this cool rock i had and put it in the bowl. And yea, he has 2 hides, one on the warm side and one on the cooler side

Re: My new snake, Goliath
I used to put rocks in the water bowl to keep them from knocking it over.. but it makes it dirty.
But there is one thing I need to point out. NO TAPE IN THE ENCLOSURE!
Nothing adhesive! EVER! If the snake sits on it, and the area gets warmed by a lamp or the temperature, it can pull off scales or do worse. Please remove it, I don't want anything to happen, since he's so pretty and all. :]
Welcome to the forum. Those do look like rat bite scars. Do you know anything about the previous owner leaving in adult mice or rats for a long period of time?
