Sandblast

Ok ladies and gentlemen, this is a very serious question and not a put on.

I am a private collector of bp's and there is a possible chance that i am able to obtain a sandblast female. I am currently in negotiations and there is a very slight chance that i am able to get hold of a male as well. I would like to know how much this morph is currently valued at as i don't want to be paying over the odds. Also IF (big if) i am able to get hold of a second would anyone be genuinely interested in purchasing it off me?? I expect to have the final out come in the next few weeks.

Hi no i def mean a sandblast. as far as i'm aware urbanpythons are the only ones with one - unless other big breeders are keeping theirs quiet.

If they are selling offspring because it proved recessive then they will probably carry a fairly high price.

But is they are selling the original animals because it didn't prove genetic at all then they still wont be cheap but might be worth buying simply because they are beautifull animals.

Do you know the results of the breedings? Are they adult animals they are selling or hatchlings?

If you are simply a collector, and you have the type of money to spend on that animal, I sure as **** would take one. That is one of my all-time favorite unprovens out there, and it would be a complete joy to have one to hold and love and snuggle (and get insurance on lol).

If you are buying in hopes of it being genetic, I would still take the chance on it. We know it's not dominant, but I think it holds good potential to be a recessive, yes? Which ever way it goes (genetic or not) you would have quite the gem in your collection.

I cant imagine that this snake would be going for pennies, however.

I assume that the genetics have been proven, and this is why... The urban python said, on their website, that the project of from a sandblast wild caught male that was bred to a normal female. The offspring was wild type. So at that point the male sandblast was the only one. So now if this person is talking about buying a female sandblast, then unless they caught a female sandblast in the wild, this male would have had to been bred to his daughters to produce more sandblasts. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I would imagine that the price for these would be fairly high, since they are so rare, but don't know an amount.

So did Urban Pythons actually tell you that this was a genetic animal?

Otherwise, it's just a fancy normal.

I know the importer who brought the original one in and it was big $$ !!

If they are selling babies produced by the male, proving it recessive, I would think around $10k - $15k is about the going rate in today's market.
