    "Satriani Ball"

Introducing the "Satriani Ball"... He bred 3 Normals at 450 grams and and 7 months old. The clutches were 7, 4, and 5 fertile eggs. The first clutch is out (hatched 6-17). 5.1 Satrianis and 1.0 "not so normal" --will have to wait till they shed. However, looks like my little guy is a probable genetic ringer? 5 of the 5.1 are clearly ringers and the normal and the other "want to be" -- a hint of one -- almost there.

I'll post pics after they shed. They look very much like daddy. Consistent pattern of sire -- but don't seem to be quite as orange -- except maybe one. Might be that they color up as they age and/or color, as with other morphs, is variable to some degree.

The other 2 clutches are due to hatch over the next 2 weeks. He is breeding a Pastel as I write this post. I put them together for the first time this afternoon!!! This little guy has had a couple months off and is ready to get back to business!! The kicker is we are having a HEAT WAVE here in So Cal. It was 90-92 degrees in my breeding room today. Humidity was at 70%. -- that is the secret to breeding in a desert environment like we have out here -- make them think they are in Africa. Just my theory...

P.S. I know it is a little unorthodox to post the gene carrier before the offspring. I started to put my little male in a "Pole Post" but I did not want to hi-jack someones post. I'm sure you all understand.
