    my horses
Since there are a few horsey people on this forum, I thought you might like to see some pix of my guys. I spend a lot of tiem with them and really love riding and caring for them. They are a big big part of my life. :)
Here is my 5 year old mare Velvet. She is backed but quite green and a little bit flamboyant. She throws a GREAT fit when she wishes to. But I think there is a steady horse in there waiting to emerge.

And here is my gelding, Will. He is nine and does everything. Again, a dramatic horse, but so so so good. High energy, tries all day long, hot, responsive, perfect! I love a horse that loves to go.

WE have another pony right now but he is not really ours and I don't have any great pictures of him. He is a 13 handish guy. Slooooow and unflappable. Good for my kids.

Great looking gelding. I bet he puts on quite the show. Looks like a pleasure to ride.
Sorry about your old mare. Horses live so long and bond so strong to their people, it is like losing a family member. You always have a special one you never get over.
Your girl velvet reminds me of Country in the eyes.

Well, Josh has settled in, but I had repairs to do to his stall. He was upset with me walking away and kicked so hard he snapped the hinges off his stall door. One week today and he is already spoiled.:taz:

Have you got any more pictures of Josh settling in? Silly boy, wrecking his stall-- sometimes they need a padded stall.

Yes, my gelding is a showman! He is really fun to ride. He's got a pony mind and a thoroughbred feel about him. Go, go, go with a sense of humor. I'm taking him to a clinic today, so I have to go scrub mud off of him....

No picks from yesterday. Just the original ones I posted. I put him out next to a lil quarter horse mare and he is in love. Hangin his head over the fence like a school boy. I wish I had my video camera then . The stallion yelled at him from the back paddock, Josh spun around, rushed to the back of his paddock and raised up challenging the stud. Looking like a bad a**.

I'd love to be more involved with horses, but I think my husband has his limits.

The pic of Velvet is SO sweet! It makes me just want to hug her. Will's a handsome fellow as well. Thanks for sharing.
