18ft Scrub eats family dog as kids watch
    Quote:

BRISBANE, Australia (AP) -- A 16-foot python stalked a family dog for days before swallowing the pet whole in front of horrified children in the Australian tropics, animal experts said Wednesday.

The boy and girl, aged 5 and 7, watched as the scrub python devoured their silky terrier-Chihuahua crossbreed Monday at their home near Kuranda in Queensland state.

The part I don't get is they knew the snake was there, and that it was stalking the dog, but for some reason didn't think it was important enough to call anyone until after Yo Quiero became Taco Bell.

this is so stupid, these people supposedly watched a snake stalk their dog for days before it got it. Bull, if it is true, and they were still letting their kids play in the back yard with a "strange" 16ft python roaming around, they dont deserve to have their kids
why not call the first time you see a snake in your back yard
just another exagerated story to make snakes out to be bad:colbert:

I'm not trying to bad mouth Steve Irwin, rest his soul...

But come on...Would you let your kids out side while you KNEW there was a threat to thier well being.

As for that picture, is it alright to be holding your infant child while feeding a crocodile...just to put on a show? NO, it's not. Regardless of who it is....
