What a waste!!

Woke up this morning and went outside. My girlfriends new jeep liberty was majorly trashed. For about 3 blocks apparently some kids took large rocks and everything they could get their hands on and trashed several vehicles. We had to have it towed and go thru all the hassle with police, insurance and car rental.:taz:

I can't stand the way most kids are allowed to run the streets these days. I brought mine up telling them, "I brought you into this world and I can take you out". Never would have followed thru with it, but respect for the property of others was well ingrained. I hate living in the city and have less use for a large part of society as time goes on.

What ever happened to kindness and respect? I know there were bad people before, but let's face it, it is scary when people look at you funny for saying thank you or holding the door for a stranger. I actually had a woman yell at me for holding a door open. Told me she could get it herself!!:confused:

Last winter my dad went to warm his car up for work early in the morning and found somebody had tossed a brick through the windshield. There have been cars vandalized on our street before, but it was an extra low blow because it was Christmas for gods sake!

We know from neighbours that there is a group of kids who don't even live around our area who wander the streets late at night. When I say 'kids' I mean 10-14ish. Where are their parents? I live in a pretty good neighborhood too - not that you'd know it with the response time of police. With the taxes we pay you'd think they could at least round up a group of pubescent hooligans.

You need a license to have a dog, but anybody can have a baby. Its scary.

I'm sorry to hear about the damage that was done. Hopefully the lil'punks will get caught and you will recover some of the loss.

I've done some stupid things as a kid that really got me in some deep doo....but nothing that would ever cause literally THOUSANDS of dollars worth of damage. It's just stupid. I hope they catch these jerks.

At least you got a response, we call them, they tell us they will take a report over the phone. We were supposed to wait for them to call back. as far as I know , they haven't !?:mad:

Yeah, sounds crazy. Some of the cars were damaged more than ours. I'm not really violent, but it is better for them that I didn't catch them in the act. Better the police catch them.:rage:

Sorry about what happened to you and your girlfriend...i agree people's morals get lower with every generation in my opinion, I'm 19 a sophmore in college and there are some kids that i wonder how their parents must be if that's the way they act. Kids are drinking at a younger age, smoking pot at a younger age...i feel like kids/teenagers are given an inch and they take a mile and parents don't really do anything about it...when i lived in Mexico and even when i moved here if i did something wrong i would get a spanking...not like bruising and all that but i feel that that's part of the reason i am how i am, all parents do now is just put their kids in time out and take away their toys...there's a differecne between child abuse and discipline, it doesn't make you a bad person if you want to discipline your child. Rant over.

Yeah, this happened after 11 pm . where were the parents???

i cant stand those little brats who do that sort of stuff. yeah some kids egged, and peed on my aunts car in the middle of the night. it too so much paint off of it. REDICULOUSE. that sucks so bad!

it seems that todays youth is getting pretty out of control. i live in a very good neighborhood but recently theres been a burglar (not sure if its a kid or not)going around. he has broken into an elderly lady's house, maced her, then proceeded to steal stuff from her.... in broad daylight.
