does the amount of white on a pied give you a representaion of what to expect from the pieds you hatch?
is it genetic?
or is the amount of white rondom from each snake?

Re: Pied Markings
The amount of white on Pieds is random. As long as the source animals are pieds, the amount of white on them has no effect on the amount of white their offspring will have.
People charge and pay more for high-white pieds because they are pretty to look at. :)

Cool, I didnt know they charged more... I'll have to remember that when I buy a Pied. Get one with the least amount of white, so it doesnt cost as much! Then you could breed them and perhaps get really white ones and then sell them for lots of moolah! Or I might just keep them all for myself! muuHAHAHA!

Lots of people do that.. :) When I bought my first pied I just couldn't bear to get anything with less than 50% white. I'd looked forward to owning a pied for so long, I wanted the perfect one too look at, even if it wouldn't nessissarily produce any better offspring. Since then I've bought some low white pieds to add to my breeding stock.

I personally find the low white pieds really attractive... The pattern that is on them is AMAZING, and you still have that white belly and some white areas... anyone have pics of some nice low whites? I think while being different, they are just as beautiful as the high whites...

There were a few pieds at narbc with that LOW white (mainly just belly and sides), and gorgeous markings, they too were going for a hefty price compared to their brothers and sisters.

A low white pied that has another morph into the colored section of the pattern can be more amazing that a high white pattern with that morph coloration.
A lavender albino pied that only shows a little of the lavender albino isn't as visually stunning as one that shows a great deal of the lavender albino.
