Huff it? Ok, thats a bad idea! :)
We throw it out onto the roof next door and pour some water on it. Makes for some entertainment.

or, if you are into to seeing something cool..
put about 1/2 cup of dry ice into a 20 ounce bottle and then mix in a cup of water......
Screw the lid on and back away quickly.......
Kaboom....

Re: Dry Ice**
When my friends and I decided we would go camping next to a lake when we were younger--ALL BY OURSELVES (we were probably 13 or 14), my parents snuck in with a box of dry ice and dumped it in the lake right next to our site--then made noises...
Suddenly, there's scary noises and a weird mist and the water next to our site was bubbling! Then, they jumped out and scared us
Definitely made for a neat-looking rest of the evening.

This makes a big kaboom. Not for indoors or near nosy or parinoid neighbors.

Re: Dry Ice**
And for interesting chemistry fun...put it in a bucket of water. You will get C02 fog that rolls over the edge and along the ground, and the water will appear to boil. :D
Just note!!! Don't breathe the vapors or let any pets breathe them.

Re: Dry Ice**
yeah, we tend to just dump it in the sink and run water over it to make spooky fog.
the vapors are just CO2....it's ok to breathe some but don't put yourself in a situation where that's all you're breathing :)

Re: Dry Ice**
definitely don't touch it
and don't put it in your mouth! there's a trick you can do to put it in your mouth (similar to walking on coals....the moisture saves you from serious burns)
BUT it's dangerous...a kid from my school did the trick and swallowed it by mistake....he lived but eats through a tube now.
