100% het for Albino bred to a Normal female
Maybe I want cause an up roar with this post...

100% het for Albino bred male to a Normal female, actaully that were seen locked up several times over the past few days, but what I am wanting to know, is what are the offspring possibilities?
I'm still learning this het, homo and other stuff, but what is this telling me? are there chances for an Albino, or just offspring carrying the trait?

They would be 50% het for albino. I think breakdown would be in a 4 egg clutch, 2 het albinos and 2 normals, but you couldnt tell which. No visuals from a het to normal breeding.

Re: 100% het for Albino bred to a Normal female
Possibilities are 50% of the snakes in the clutch will be carriers (100% hets) and 50% will be normals...

Now with this being said, that is the reason why they are called 50% hets. There is a 50% chance of them being a carrier. Since you can't tell the carriers and the non carriers apart, that is why people sell them as such.

No other possibilities, unless you have some type of super freak hot momma ball python female. :D

so in other words... no yellow babies.. just carriers of the gene Right? Now in order to produce and albino, what would have to be done?

    http://www.ballpython.ca/what_get/recessive.html

I believe that should answer your questions on recessive trait breeding. If you want to know more about co-dom and dominant than just surf through that site to find it.

This is what you get when you breed a 100% het albino X normal ball pythons together. this is peaches, she is a normal that is 50% het albino. :) http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n...g?t=1169194195

I'm in the same exact boat as you crackerjack. I've got 2 BP's, one is %100 Het Albino male and the other is a normal female. I was wondering why your first sentence says "maybe i want cause an up roar with this post"? I did not add any words to correct anything here. Not being rude here just wondering  .
