Temps?
Okay. . .dimmer is set sand going good. . . it's reading 90. . . I was hoping someone could let me know if my temps are okay. warm = 90, cool = 79. I know that the cool side might be a little warm. . . Does anyone think it nescessary to cool it off? Also, I read not over 90 for warm. . . is 90 exactly okay? Just want to make sure my babies stay healthy :D.

Re: Temps?
Right here my dear mr. joe. . . on this website.

"Temperatures & Heating Provide your corn with a basking spot of 88-90° F and an ambient (background) temperature of 70 - 75° F. The ambient temperature should not fall below 70° F. It is vitally important to KNOW the temperatures at which you are keeping your snake(s). DO NOT GUESS!! A great way to monitor temps is to use a digital indoor/outdoor thermometer with a probe. Stick the thermometer to the inside of the cage on the cool end and place the probe on the warm end, and you'll have both sides covered at once.

I've been trusting this site as the best, so I'm been going by the caresheet.
Don't tell me my snakes are going to end up sick :( Please help!!!

That was a typo right? You're not going to keep corns on sand are you?
90 is a bit too high for corns. They are not tropical species. 80-82 would be good for a basking area.

It might have been a slip when they posted that info.It should not hurt them if you lower it before you leave for work.I did send Judy a pm.Relax its only a short time the temps were at 90 just like a hot summer day:) .

Re: Temps?
I've been under the assumption from reading various breeder sites that the temps should range from 75-80 on the cool side and low to mid 80's on the warm. I'm again assuming that mid means 84-86. 80 as a hot spot seems a little low to me, but I'm not an expert:)
