My boy bit my little brother today without a warning sign, hissing, or an S shaped neck. Is this normal?

Re: Why
Is it normal for them to bite, yes. Its an animal, all animals will bite. My worst bite actually came from a salamander. What was your brother doing when he got bit?

Re: Why
No, what I meant was, is it normal to bite without a warning. He was holding it to put it into it's tub after bringing it home.

Re: Why
Ive had some just open their mouth and try to bite.. He might have been stressed from the little trip.

Re: Why
Maybe it was because the trip was like 1 and 1/2 hours long?

yeah that's a trip long enough to totally stress a BP out, especially if it was bounced around a bit. for all you know it had just spent the last hour hissing all by itself.
these things happen, don't sweat it.
(although i would watch your brother near it, he may be feeling slightly negatively towards it for a while)
