BP Power Steering
Karen learned a neat trick with Gomez. He was on the couch/her lap with her and he kept wanting to wander off to points unknown, which is not good because that couch has a habit of eating things. Karen would lightly put her hand on his back- he'd pause, then change direction away from points unknown. Nobody told us these guys were trainable! lol! It's like there's a button on his back. Remote controlled BP!

That's too cute! Mr. Gomez sounds like quite the personality!

Re: BP Power Steering
Too cute! Some of them are really bad about couches. One of ours (Kyna) is always determined to explore so sometimes we toss a blanket over the couch so she can't go check out the potato chip crumbs (do they smell like rodent?) LOL

I like the blanket idea. I'm always afraid they'll disappear into the inner workings of my chair or couch.
Quick tell Karen to make a nice video, and market it as bp training tool. Oh and tell her not to forget where that spot it too. ;) Too funny.

Hehe, I wish we had a video camera /(^v^)\ But this'll have to do! See? Mr. Personality does have a button!

I do wonder about what smells intrigue them, Jo! Maybe potato chips are the snake equviliant of air fresheners. ;) "Mmm, old chip smell!"

Re: BP Power Steering
Yes, there's definitely something compelling about the Forbidden Delights of the Deepest Recesses of the Sofa ... both ours have found it once - considering the messiness of my daughters and their friends I guess I should be grateful the snakes haven't died of food poisoning - and it's twice now we've considered literally ripping the sofa apart.

Re: BP Power Steering
Been there, done that, no one makes a t-shirt for it *sigh*
Take one 6 foot BCI who found a little rip in the fabric on the underside of our sofa....add in two very surprised humans scrambling to catch his very quickly retreating tail....change the scenario to one human having to stand a big three cushion couch on its end so the other human can further rip the darned fabric away from the couch frame and drag out one satisfied with himself big BCI who really does NOT want to leave his newly found hidey spot.
Snakes are sent to try us (I also think they secretly smirk but I haven't got photographic evidence of this quite yet LOL).

Re: BP Power Steering
I see now the cleverness of my friend Jess's stitched together faux-leather couch. Nothin's getting in there! When we move we're not taking this old couch with us and it's tempting to look for a new one that's snake proof. :P Good luck to us there, lol!
