This guy gets left alone from October until Mid March every year.
I fed him the first meal of 2020 roughly 5 days ago. Sniper is ready for the warm weather this year. He's pretty dark at in these pictures, so I'm guessing he'll go blue in the next few weeks.
He's probably right around 7 feet long and in excellent condition. I like all of my animals lean and muscular. He's an example I'm proud of.
These are not very good pictures but they are very recent. Actually within the last hour.

He's strong, but so easy to handle compared to the retic I had here. Its nice to have a male that isn't combative.

For those unfamiliar, Sniper is a Rio Bravo produced (Gus Rentfro) animal. He is a Barranquilla, Colombian boa. He is a true locality animal and if you read THE COMPLETE OR MORE COMPLETE BOA CONSTRICTOR books by Vin Russo, you can research that this species is what a natural cross between BI and BC is in nature. I'm privileged to own something like this!

I'll get some better photos when the outdoors is more accepting of reptile appreciated temps.
Sniper is my first animal. My son's royal was first snake here, but this boa is my own and an animal that is irreplaceable.
Thanks for looking.
