    Is this real?
Hi guys, I've got kind of a weird question for y'all today. I had a dream last night about a snake, it looked sort of like a bull snake but it wasn't quite as heavy bodied, like it sort of looked like a corn but with bull snake markings. There's no chance this a real snake, right? It sounds silly to me now that I'm actually typing it but it was such a cool snake I just have to make sure [emoji23] maybe I was just dreaming about bull snakes and my sleeping brain forgot what they looked like haha

I just looked them up and wow yeah I think that's what it was haha! That's so funny, I've heard of gopher snakes but I had no idea what they actually looked like (or at least I thought I didn't lol). Thanks!

It's possible that you heard or saw something about a hybrid. I'm fiercely opposed to such things, but there are "those" who experiment & have managed to
breed such things as "jungle corns" (a hybrid corn & king snake) so I'd not be surprised (only sad & angry) if they've done the same thing with a corn & bull snake.
Nature ("natural selection") gets it right, IMO...humans just mess things up for profit, novelty and showing off.

There are also some smaller "dwarf" gopher snakes* being captive bred. We had lots of gopher snakes in So. Calif. when I lived there, they are nature's best mouse-traps ;) & very intelligent & cool serpents...active by day (unless too hot). And you're right, not quite as big or heavy-bodied as bull snakes...I've had both (& raised both).

I've been looking a bit into gopher snakes since I saw that reply and they sound really cool, I love the look if bull snakes but if I'm being honest their temperaments scare me a bit haha, so a snake that looks similar but a bit smaller and more docile sounds amazing to me. I think I'm gonna keep researching them a bit as they've really piqued my interest, if you have any general info about them you'd be willing to share I'd really appreciate it!

Anything is possible in a dream :). My bull snake reminds me of a larger Okeetee corn snake sometimes. They're temperaments aren't that bad either. They can be a little hissy as young ones but they usually mellow out. My male hasn't struck at me in years but the female does have the occasional bad days.

I had a dream about a ball python that had the colors of a Hershey hug, it's not any morph I've ever seen yet I dreamed it up. I tried to look it up and the closet thing I can find is this except the brown was darker and more defined.

Is there such a morph that looks like this but with a darker brown like a Hershey hug?

I dream about my normal ball python Crowley all the time, for some reason I never have 1 of him, once he turned into 2 snakes and once he had babies (no mother, I know that doesn't make sense but dreams never do). Then this dream where I got Crowley a Hershey hug colored girlfriend.

Wow he's absolutely gorgeous!! I think bull snakes are probably one of my favorite looking snakes along with red tail boas and tp ratsnakes, their patterns just get me! Plus the shape of their heads are adorable. Maybe some day when I'm a more experienced keeper but for right now I think they're just something to love from afar :)
