Feeding after handling

He is Noodle my 11months ghost ball python and I was planning on feeding him tonight, but ended up manipulating him for a while and now I'm not sure if it's still ok to feed him. He didn't strike at me and was pretty relax, but since it's my first bp I rather be sure, thanks!

It's "O.K." to feed him after handling, but that doesn't mean he'll want to eat...he may or may not. If you don't like wasting food, you might want to wait
until tomorrow night instead. Handling tends to interfere with some snakes' focus on feeding instincts...especially BPs. My rat snakes wouldn't care one bit. ;)

Its ok to do, as long as you just give him an hour or so in his cage beforehand, then offer prey. He may take it just as well or could refuse it which is why many care guides suggest no handling the day of feeding. Won't hurt him, he just may not want to eat. You'll have to try it out for yourself if you have a snake that won't eat after handling or one that will. The big thing is after a meal, wait 2-3 days before handling again.

Mine could care less. I would bet that he would eat while handlling. I think he has some rat snake genes ! Lol

All my snakes could care less except my BP, Shayna. I leave her alone the day of feeding and the day before (probably overkill).

    She can be picky.

The corn snakes, boas, and carpet python could care less.
