    About Time I Joined!
Hello everyone, I'm Jeremiah and although I've been interested in ball pythons for half my life, it's only recently that I've really been entering into the hobby. I had bought a wild type ball when I was younger, but ended up having to rehome him when I was in college. I'd researched breeding quite a bit back then but knew I wasn't in the place to actually do so at that time. I still loved all the different possible morphs and was sure that I'd get blue eyed lucy someday. Fast forward to last year when we spot a lesser and butter breeding pair someone is selling nearby as he had decided to pull out of the breeding scene and we couldn't help ourselves but go pick them up.

Since then we've been doing all sorts of research and upgrading our setup and collection over time. I can't count how many times I've used posts from this forum in the last year as we've had questions come up, so I thought it was about time to join the forum and try to contribute some myself. Well, that and the more selfish reason that we hatched our first clutch and now can't wait to show them off! Managed to check one off the bucket list with our very first BEL. We weren't sure we were even getting a clutch this year, much less a BEL so we're ecstatic!

Anyways, hello again, and I'm looking forward to talking with you all, learning more and more, and seeing all of your collections as well.

Welcome aboard and congratulations on your clutch! I recently picked up a BEL myself...a morph that had been on my wish list for quite some time.

Thanks all! I plan to be here a while so I'm sure I'll end up sharing quite a bit in the future.

(S)he's gorgeous, congratulations! What type of BEL are they? I'm both looking forward to and fearing mine shedding out since I love the pure white but will miss the pink.

Unfortunately, I don’t know the type of BEL. At the time I picked him up in August, I was unaware there were different types of BEL. He’s only a pet, so in once sense it’s fine that I don’t know. I doubt I will ever get into breeding again (used to breed boas), but there is always the temptation. I’ve just wanted one of these and a pied ever since the first pictures were shared of the morphs years ago. This year I got both of my dream balls, the pied and leucistic (blue-eyed was a bonus)...plus a lemonblast and a dragonfly. :D

That's awesome, sounds like quite the haul! I hadn't heard of the dragonfly till now, but they look awesome. I'm a sucker for the lighter colored morphs. When we picked up our lesser and butter pair, the seller talked us into taking home a queen bee too because of that.

With your BEL though, that makes sense. He looks like one of the cleaner pairings either way, don't see a stripe or such from what I can tell. I wasn't originally planning to breed, but when I keep seeing all the cool combos I could come up with I had a hard time saying no.
