I'm new! And have a lot of pets!
Hello!! I'm Sydney and I'm from Dallas!

This forum looked like a really great place to get info on ball pythons, which I'm always looking for to make sure I have the most accurate information to help me take care of my noodles, the first of which I got last December. Speaking of, I have three ball pythons right now: a normal male named Echo, a spider enchi ghost male named Whiskey, and a super pastel lesser female named Tango (there is a naming scheme happening, if you were curious).

I also have two female leopard geckos, which I think are super hypos? Riddle, I got from a friend, and she's seven years old! Valkyrie, I got from a rescue, and she's a sub-adult. So, I don't know either of their morphs, except that they look exactly alike, down to missing toes from fighting in previous care.

I also own lots of fish (my husband and I have 3 aquariums in our apartment!) and two dogs. So many pets.

    Thanks!!

I'll have to take some pics of the fish...

    I currently have 3 bettas:
    • a red/blue half moon named Jacuzzi
    • a solid red veil tail named Vash
    • a red/blue crown tail name Senketsu

Jacuzzi and Vash live in the same tank with a separator, and Senketsu has a whole tank to himself!

Then I have a 30 gallon with a bunch of fish in it:
    • Common Pleco named Pebble (He's getting big, so we'll soon be setting up a 55 gal for him)
    • 8 neon tetras referred to collectively as the Borg (and one that's missing an eye that we call Blackbeard)
    • 2 false julii cory cats (Picard and Janeway)
    • 1 Corydoras kanei named Salvador
    • 2 banjo catfish (Banjo and Kazooie)

My husband loves fish and is looking into getting some angelfish. :)

    Welcome!

Well I think I have you beat in terms of the number of pets we have at home: 11 pets are mine and my husband has 1 tarantula, 2 Asian forest scorpions, 55 gallon with 2 large common plecos (about a foot long), 5 or so African cichlids, and a 44 gallon breeder with 3 African clawed frogs, 2 goldfish (feeders that ended up being pets), and some crabs.
My husband loves fish too and wants to replace the 55 to a 125 or larger tank. Can't happen until we move somewhere more spacious.

The 11 pets are a blue tongue skink, bearded dragon, kingsnake, ball python, children python, 2 cats, 2 dogs (medium and large size), hamster and a bunny. The furry ones except for the hamster are all rescues.

If you need any help or want to run some ideas with other owners, this is the place to go to.

Wow, that's a lot of pets! Must be fun to keep all of them! I'd love to have a blue tongued skink eventually and a carpet python. Maybe a hamster one day too, haha!

Sounds like our husbands would get along very well! Kris is dying to set up a much larger freshwater tank, a saltwater tank, a predator tank, and varying combinations of those. My only rule is we have to have the space first.

I am very glad to have found this site. What a great resource.
