    Fresh after shed!
So Pylox just shed and he's looking fantastic! The lighting isn't helping though :Phttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...f41624a133.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...783f8a5cb8.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...dde887ff64.jpgLove my lil' guy (or girl, unsexed :p)!

How old is he/she and how often do they shed?

I’ve had my BP since the beginning of October and she is 3 years old. She had just completed a shed the day I picked her up and she hasn’t had a shed since which is 8 weeks... I was expecting it to have happened by now [emoji15]

    You guy/girl is stunning!!!

Not sure how old he/she is, but I got him/her (for the future I'm going to use it) about the same as you, I think it was the second week of October? So yay!

Pylox sheds every month or so, and he was in shed when I got him, so he's shed twice. If your BP hasn't shed in 8 weeks, something's probably wrong with his husbandry. Try increasing his humidity a bit and tweaking the temps. If that doesn't work, maybe try asking SDA or Godzilla78, they're veterans.

Also, thanks! I never knew Pylox's coloring was considered good! He's actually 100% normal genes, but I reckon he could pass for pastel if he's freshly shed [emoji14]

The temps are perfect, 90 in the hot, 76 in the cool with the ambient 80 and the humidity is between 60 and 65. I’ll try and bump it up a little more and see how she goes.

She’s not stressed or anything, she’s really happy! Feeds every week without issue and just does snake stuff when we are all in bed [emoji2]

That's really good husbandry IMO, not sure why your snake won't shed. Maybe he's a late shedder, I know some people IRL whose BPs can take up to 4 months between sheds!

She’s probably just very very lazy!!

Oh... she came to me with mites and a burn. Lots of treatment and bathing. Deep cleans every day etc... maybe she just needs a bit more time now she is all better and cared for.

Thank you for your help though! I won’t get too concerned just yet.

Alright then, just leave him/her to its own stuff and it'll shed eventually. Also, can I see your BP? Just out of curiosity :D

They shed as they grow. Little ones shed more often than adults.
