What Happened To HLH Reptiles All Of The Sudden?
Does anyone know what happened to Jordan Shaw/HLH Reptiles all of the sudden? I have been following his videos on Youtube for a long time and i've learned a lot from them. Now, all of the sudden every one of his videos are gone and the HLH Reptiles Facebook page is also down. I went to his Twitter page and when you click on the links to his Youtube videos they say the videos have been removed by the user. Pretty strange... I'm hoping nothing bad happened...

I did not know this. I had been following him for a while also and had used his videos for references (when talking with newbies) especially the boa videos.

I know that he said he was cutting back and was switching from using racks to pvc caging and reducing his collection to more manageable levels, but had seen nothing new posted by him in months.

I'd guess that if he was just getting out of the hobby that he would stop posting, but I can't think of a reason to remove all his videos that were already up, unless something did happen.

I also noticed this and was wondering why as well. I know his website was down for the longest time but seeing his videos gone so suddenly definitely surprised me :(

I love his videos. He is the one that inspired me to get a woma python.

Same here. I contacted him last fall asking if he was going to breed his womas this year and i did not receive a response. I ended up purchasing a young male woma in June from Reptile Rapture in WI.

His YouTube videos are/were very well done and informative.

Watching his videos pushed me to get my boa. I really liked his content.

Same here, when i was trying to figure out what my first snake should be, his videos, almost singularly, convinced me to get a boa. I hope everything isok with him, he seems like such a nice guy.

Strange he wouldn't do a goodbye video? I agree his videos were great.

I sent him a message on Youtube a few days ago and I haven't heard anything back from him. I just sent him and his wife both a message through their personal Facebook profiles a few minutes ago, but who knows when or if they will ever even notice the messages since Facebook doesn't put messages from people, who aren't on your friends list in the inbox. Neither of them seem to ever be very active on Facebook, either. It's just really odd that such valuable resources would just suddenly be removed like that. Especially after all of the time and work he put into his videos. The last video I watched of his on Youtube was maybe just 2 - 3 weeks ago. I don't want to speculate about someone's life on an open forum, but I can only think of 3 or 4 scenarios for what could have happened...

It is sad. I hope that he and his family are OK, and if so, that he decides to put his content back up. I found his videos very well done and a very good resources, especially to people new with handling boas or new to owning snakes in general.
