Small head

When will his head every grow? I feel like he has a small head for such a long, fat body [emoji30] he was a rescue from Petsmart, no one would buy him and I felt sorry for him, I bonded with him and decided it would kill me if he sold so I bought him.....he should be coming on three years old, about 3.5 ft long and somewhere around 900-1000grams, my scale isn't the best

And what are those dry looking patches on his head? Even after a clean shed he has them [emoji35]

I've got the exact same questions so bump :)

Looks like he is missing scales to me. Has he ever been injured? His head looks normal sized for a ball.

Head size looks normal to me. These snakes don't get very big. Males tend to stay on the small side.

Sometimes the outer coating of the scale, the shiny part, gets pulled off with a shed. Should be back to normal next shed cycle. Or he rubbed his head on something. is there anything in his enclosure that he could rub his head on?

Either way, its not too big a deal.

Thank you, I love this boy!!!! I'm so attached to him, he is the sweetest thing....there is a rock like cave but he has had these dry looking places for a while, I even put neosporin on them and nothing helps, he has had several sheds and it's still there. His head size concerned me but I guess I like all my animals with some size on them so I expected the same with him, but he refuses to be a "big" snake [emoji36]

The neosporin probably made it worse. Just leave it be and it will heal up with the next shed most likely. neosporin has a tendency to make the outer coating of scales slough off like that.

The size is fine for a male.

The dry scales is something I've experienced on a couple of my bp too, can't find a real explanation but it seems to be related to low humidity. It usually goes away with the next shed.
If someone with more experience has a precise answer i'd like it too.
