New 2 gene female

So there are particular projects that as a breeder I've always coveted and get really excited about. Clowns, Pied combos, GHI, Lavender. Well I've completed one of my long time projects that I've been after.

It started with a male a few months ago. Just today my female arrived. I promise better pics once shes eaten a few times and gets a little more size. Never the less here she is..

Love that black contrast on the yellow!

Awesome! I can't believe desert ghost flew under the radar for so long. I remember seeing it on NERD's collection page way back in like 2005? and it never really stood out to me. After seeing some combos with it it really is surprising that more people haven't been working with it.

I have to admit I had my eye on some GHI combo's until you posted your girl and I was like NOPE.. DG it is. It's one of those that I've been needing and just kept putting off of other projects. Not any longer. ;)

Because recessives take so long to reproduce many people opted for the co-dom stuff and things like the DG and LA have kind of slide to the way side.

Thanks, kind of a back burner sleeper project in mind. Cause I got a male that I haven't shown off yet that's currently breeding. Just a teaser he makes my Spider Blade Clown look like amateur hour ;)

Well, I'm glad you are getting into this project. With all the other cool stuff you have, I cannot wait to see what combos you come out with :)

She will grow quickly, mine is a food hog and put on quite some size already..
