so i may have gone overboard... haha
So I redecorated Aesir's tank to make him feel more secure since he always hid on the cold side in his last one. Then decided I wanted a new shelf for the noodles.... then realized nothing fits a 40gal tank and ended up with this monster from home depot. I literally had to get a step stool to reach Loki's tank on top, haha!

So what do you think are some good cage accessories to have for a bp? I just got my first a few months ago, and I want to make her feel comfortable.

I have had good luck with the half logs, though I cover three sides of my tank and most the top, and put it against a wall. My sub adult really enjoys coverage and leaves, so I used cork bark pieces in his new set up on top of the logs as a cover and he also climbs over the top.

Reptile Basics hides are great for BPs. The exoterra cave hides also work great. It doesn't really matter what you give them to hide in as long it is tight fitting for them. They love being cramped.

And yeah, the half logs are not ideal.

It's funny that everyone says logs aren't the best because both mine prefer them, haha! I have tried different hides (nice and snug) and both my boys always stick to the log haha. Loki will only use that and his skull.

Are your half logs on the warm side? Do you have half logs on the warm AND the cool side?

Btw i like your set up! I didn't want to pay 20$ for a decent background cover so i went earlier and bought camo wrapping paper and used it instead, only cost $4 😊

My hatchling has a log and skull hidey, both of which he uses.
My sub adult has two logs, and uses both. Though he has always seemed to prefer the cooler side. Not sure if it has something to do with him being kept at 71 degrees for so long or not.
