Baby shed??

Willow was 2.5 months old when we got her and we've had her for 4 weeks this coming Friday.

She hasn't shed yet but when we held her tonight, her eyes weren't "cloudy/dull" but they weren't as shiny and bright as usual. She's a BEL, so we thought she would go the same pink/orange our spider does before a shed.

I put some wet sphagnum moss outside the doors of both huts and misted her tank. It went to 87% but will obviously drop.

Is it dangerous to have high humidity if she's not going to shed? Babies shed every 2-3 weeks, and she's not shed yet, so she's due yes? (She's had 3 fuzzy rats in her 4 weeks here.)
She has only peed once... could the eyes be dehydration?

Uh..babies shed every 2-3 weeks...I never heard that..

I had read they do...perhaps I'm wrong?

Would a dullness be dehydration? She's eaten 3 f/t fuzzies in her almost 4 weeks with us and I've seen her drink once. But, she's only ever gone to the bathroom once - poop, urate and liquid pee.

Her scales aren't wrinkled and her eye caps are smooth.... just not as bright and shiny.
I took the moss out incase it's not shed, as I don't want her getting scale rot. She's not pink either.

Advice? Dehydration? Possible oncoming shed?

No one reading has any ideas?

Mine shed a month ago and she is acting like she is ready again. If your humidity is good and she has plenty of fresh water she prob isn't dehydrated. She is prob going into shed. I put an extra bowl of water in the tub to bump humidity and my girl shed just fine. I wouldn't worry about never seeing her drink. If its there she is prob drinking.. Just taking ninja sips when you aren't looking. lol

I second the ninja sips... remember, when you're sleeping, she's not. :)

Mine is 6 months old and he's shed twice with me so far. I've had him for four months now and there was ~56 days between sheds. He also is still on mice, so I guess I'm saying that they shed at their own rate :)

Your BP sounds just like mine, I have had Mr slithers for 5 weeks now and everything seems great, the heat, Humidity his eating and just general health seems good but I don't think his shed yet. I keep seeing him rub against the rocks in his viv but his eyes look the same he has no pink belly and his still eating weekly but like yours mine has only pee'd or pooped once. I keep checking the viv daily to make sure I haven't missed anything but its clean. On his back he looks like he is getting wrinkled scales that should be shedding so Im' hoping his starting to now.

Like people say on here every snake is different so I'm not worrying yet as he seems in good health. Try not to stress about it and just enjoy him.

I think the dullness in the eyes could certainly be a cue that the animal is going to shed. Remember BEL's do have eye issues. As far as the high humidity, as long as it's coupled with adequate ventilation (air holes) in the tub and not impeding or prolonged you should be ok. Don't worry too much about the frequency of the shedding bc they shed when they need to. It's more important to offer the animal proper husbandry numbers. That way you can be reassured you are on track. Dehydration doesn't sound like a issue here.
