Hey, I was just wondering how much a large Rubbermaid tank would cost me... What size Rubbermaid tub is suitable for a full size BP, and also, I've tried to find large ones, but I haven't had any luck. I'm guessing they'd have them at Lowes or something, am I right? What kinds of housing do you guys use, and why?

You could find try bed bath and beyond, if you haven't looked there yet. They usually have a section of big steralite containers for storage.

I've got an aquarium tank myself, and it's nice to be able to sit in front of it at night and watch my bp wander around in his cage. Trying to get the heating and humidity right drove me nuts for about a week or so though. I'm waiting for the outside temperatures to "hit bottom" and then I'll find out if I have to get a larger wattage bulb for the heat lamp. I've got good temperatures now, and even though the apartment heat is on, I know it hasn't acutally had to kick in yet.

I prefer the look of a glass tank, but it can drive your crazy getting things just right. I'll be moving my guy to a boaphile cage soon myself. Rubbermaids are cheap. Try hardware stores, Target, etc.

Wally World all the way! Thats where i've gotten all my rubbermaids. Lowes, Target, KMart, Sams Club ... the list could go on for places to check.

116 qt Sterilite is a good size for full-grown ball pythons. 96 quart also works.
