    Water droplets
I took Monty out today & he had water droplets all over him. I'm assuming this is condensation from inside his ceramic hide? Anything to be concerned about?

Also, I fed him a small rat on Tuesday evening. He still has a considerable lump. Normal?

Probably just condensation. What kind of substrate do you use?

Check the inside of your hide for condensation, I find that frequently on Nessie, normally right after a fresh substrate change. The cypress mulch puts off a lot of moisture, I find that giving it a stir once a day for a few days after a change out prevents the inside of the hide from getting overly damp and causing that condensation.

I use Eco-Earth shredded coconut husk. It's probably been a week since last change. And at the moment, humidity it at 45%. It ranges from about 75-40% throughout the day.

I use cypress mulch and it gets pretty moist under his hide on the warm side. Last time I picked my guy up. He was wet from the moisture

Do you have moist moss in that hide? I use coco husk and if its too wet I get condensation from it on the hide and when I rewet the moss I get some condensation. And yes its normal for them to have a lump a couple days after feeding. I fed my girl on Tuesday also and she still has a lump.

I have moss throughout. Some of it is under his hide, like a bed of moss.

Then that might explain the water. If I don't dry mine enough after rewetting it I get condensation in the hides. Good luck.

Thank you. Now I'm just wanting him to poop. Lol! He's got a few mice & a small rat stored up in there! :/

The key is to spend as much money as possible making his enclosure look pretty. It's a sure trick, as soon as the last vines go in he'll blow. ;)
