Right guys, I have found a breeder near me who is selling 2 BP's I am interested in; problem is I can't choose. The price difference is insignificant. She has told me that she does a 2 month payment plan scheme so I know I can pay in time towards this guy.

I have a normal female het genetic stripe and I have been on the look out for a boyfriend for her, now I know I should get my females and grow them up and get a male later but I'm terrible and can't help myself ;)

The breeder has 2 possibilities. She has a butter ph gs male and a cinnamon ph gs male. The cinnamon shows signs of her 100% hets and exhibits signs that he does carry the genetic stripe gene.

What would you go for? I do like the butter gs but I already have a lesser female and I think these morphs are quite similar although I do more of a "lighter and brighter" lover in BP's. I am not against going for something darker though.

In summary I am stuck. HELP! :D

My lesser has a choice of spider or mojave. Most likely the spider as I am not the biggest fan of all white snakes (no offence to lovers of BEL's I may change my mind over time)

I vote for Cinny. Especially if it's showing really good signs of being an actual het.
And in the future you can also put that cinny to the lesser female for a really gorgeous combo.

Yeah I also have a female pastel, although due to her poor colouring I may keep her as a pet rather than a breeder and invest in a brighter pastel female, and I could also make pewters.

I am so conflicted when I see two beautiful snakes but I don't need nor can I afford two more males right now. She also had a beautiful orange ghost but that would have been pure impulse.

Id go with cinny since you already have a lesser. Lessers and butters are basically the same morph. Adding a cinny will give you more possibilities and its darker unlike the lessers. And if it shows markers for het than id go for it.

I vote for this too! Pair him to your lesser and make BELs, if he ends up being het gs, gs butters are flippin sweeet :D

But if you hold back a BEL and breed, how would you lable the offspring? Butter or Lesser?

Not to mention potential eye deformities in Butter Lesser Crosses.

Get the males later. Get your females now, grow them up, in 3 years buy a two or three gene male to go with them. Prices are dropping every year. What you get in 3 years will be much better than what you can get now for your male.
