BP's that hold their color the best as adults
    Hey guys,
    As a n00b, I'm curious.
I'm looking for a list of BP's that will hold their color the best or that will get better with age and also the ones that don't.

    Thanks!:)

I'm curious is this because they are either all or partially white snakes?

    Mr. Misha
It's not always true with white snakes. For example, my Albino is loosing his high white and becoming more yellowish instead. Can I ask what's the reason for your question about best color holding adults? Just curious.

Anything with fire, hypo, and desert ghost hold their colors and/or get better with age.

White snakes and albinos don't necessarily get worse, but they do change over time as well. Their changes aren't as dramatic or ugly as a browning out pastel, for example.

My pastel orange ghost has improved immensely as she grew!

i just picked these because its much less dramatic than it is in other morphs.

in piebalds, the white typically just stays as white as it is. the other colors may change, but the white doesnt. albinos start out white and yellow, and thats what they will be. the yellow may increase a bit, thats true, but it wont develop any brown or grey. and a high-white BEL like a super lesser will also keep its color, mostly, i mean, changes in color over the years will be really subtle.

in contrast, single-gene mojave or YB or pastel or orange dreams and also bees can all change quite dramatically. i remember a discussion about a proven breeder orange dream where people argued back and forth if its just a normal or not, until a hatchling pic of the BP surfaced and a comparison of the pattern revealed that its really an orange dream.

    i agree about hypo/ghost.

then, many morphs change quite a lot, but depending on taste, not for the worse. for example toffee or candy, these clearly get more and more awesome with age.

My enchi bumblebee has held her colors almost perfectly since we got her at around 250g, she is now 1200g. She might be a enchi bumblebee yellowbelly though. She is certainly the brightest enchi bumblebee I have ever seen.

Fire gets better over time. I love fire combos because rather than browning out, they just get better.

Fires for sure. Pied's hold there pretty baby colours great. And plain old wild type actually get better with age IMHO. If you don't want morphs that get dirty and less attractive as they age your ruling out most balls unfortunately. But the top of that list would have to be axanthic, pastel, orange dream....
