    1 Stat for 2 UTHs?
So after some digging around, I've discovered in my closet an extension cord of sorts that has two cords coming off the initial plug. If I plug the male end into a thermostat, will it keep both UTHs at the same steady temp, in theory? Obviously I'll need to play around with it to make it work with my setup, if I can, but wanted some second opinions first. I can also just upgrade both my stats at once and have them running their own channels, but just brainstorming here.

Are the UTH's identical? If not then you can't. If they are then it is possible but I still don't recommend it.

I don't like having heat sources without anything actively monitoring it. Honestly I would rather use a lamp dimmer than share a thermostat.

All that said it can be done and many people do it.

You will be told no. It's not recommended but I do have identical sources (2) plugged into one thermostat. Enclosures and heat mats are identical in my case.

I am by no means saying to do so, just because I have. I monitor everything closely with thermometers, hygrometers and a heat gun.

You can if both UTH are exactly the same. It won't work if they are different sizes since the wattages needed to power them is different.

Yes both mats are identical. Both tanks have a thermometer/hygrometer fixed to the tank, and I have an infrared temp gun as well. I may just splurge on getting both thermostats from the pet store, they had two available and I don't get paid til Friday. No need to risk anything.

I have Hydrofarms right now, but I'm gonna pick up the Zilla ones because I hear generally good reviews for running one-to-one power, and they're specialized for reptile UTHs.

Yes you can. All my racks have a 6x11 piece of flex-a-watt under each tub 17 on one stat.;)
You will have some difference but not much.
Then again I also have a "dead" tub that has a hot spot checker in it to see what the inside the tub temps are too.;):gj::gj:

Nah, digitals with probes. I ditched the sticky ones a year ago. Rookie mistakes ;)

Then you can put a probe on the mat and be able to see what each one is running at ;)

That's my setup, haha! I guess I should have gone into a little more description on that front...
