New Pickup! And a holdback :D
So my girlfriend has been looking for a calico for some time now. I've been wanting a sugar, but she found a calico for a reasonable price, all things considered. Picked up a 2013 male calico from Billy at Mutation Creation. Hoping to get some honest (brutally honest if need be) opinions on this little guy. I'm reasonably sure he will be quite a low white calico, but I'm hoping the same holds true for these guys as for pieds: low white can produce high white and vice versa?

Sorry bout the pics, Note 2 needs a better camera!

This is the first morph we have produced, and it's a female! She has shed and had 2 meals since she hatched, and we are extremely happy with her! Definitely a holdback for us

Thanks for looking and for your honest opinions :D

Yes. Low white calicos can produce high white offspring and vice versa.
Your boy looks normal in my opinion...Maybe some natural sunlight pictures of him fully stretched out?
The color and pattern is different than Calicos. It has a nice black back though.
In my experience calicos have a nice gold outline around their alien heads. I'm not certain I see it with your little one.

I really like how bright that spider is. I'm not normally a fan of spider, but I do like yours. Its bright and clean. Congrats!

Honestly, I don't see Calico even low white but my experience with them is so limited, take it with a grain of salt.

Thats kind of what I was afraid of. I'll try and get some sunlight pics today and get them posted up. I had faith in the seller because he is a pretty reputable breeder here in Ontario. I'd hate to have to call him out on a mis identification, so I'll get some better pics to you folks first.

in the first picture of the second set you posted, i see it, definitively.

i guess the areas where your calico gets bright are either out of sight or in the shadow in the other pictures. like, the second picture of the newer outdoor pics is quite useless because the sides cannot be seen.

but the first outdoor picture really proves it to me.
