need help identifying these balls
The dad is a fire ball, and the mom is a new unique female I picked up...well only 3 eggs but 2 are just crazy and at least fires but really I think something else is going on because I produced fires with same dad before and they did not look like this. Then the 3rd baby is really weird too. Black backed and all 3 babies have clear sheds. Any help would be great . here is pic of dad and mom too. I have never produced balls with more than one gene so I am lost in this. Andy

anyone care to comment on...
I am wondering why the sheds are clear. I have ghosts and they were what I thought only had clear sheds...is it common for new babies to have clear sheds for a while? Its just I never paid much attention before.

I remember a thread awhile back where someone mentioned that first sheds are always clear. I'll try to find it.

Re: need help identifying these balls
I am not an expert, and this is my first season of working with the Fire gene, but based on the pictures of the 2 that have the fire gene, I would guess that mom is a Yellowbelly. Take a look at the pictures of the Fire Yellowbelly on World of Ball Python, http://www.worldofballpythons.com/mo...-yellow-belly/. Your 2 hatchlings look very similar to those animals and the sides and bellies of your hatchlings made me think of Yellowbelly immediately.

Mom definitely is not a YB imo. She has some flaming which got passed on to the babies. The dad is a perfect 10, grade A fire so it's just good selective breeding. You have 2 fires and a normal imo. The black back may be genetic but my guess is it's not since neither of the parents really have it.
What are the sexes of the fires?
