    Genetics question
Hey, I am new to all these ball python genes and was wondering what would be the results of a female pied with a male normal? What percent about would be pied and what percent normal, if that's even how it works. Thank you in advanced.

if you breed pied to normal you get all 100% het pieds they will look normal but carry 1 pied gene it takes 2 pied genes to make a pied if you breed a het pied to a pied half should be pieds and half should be 100% het pied but that depends on how the ball python gods favor you lol i bred an albino to a spider het albino and out of 10 eggs half should have been albino but no i got all het albinos not even a spider het albino well hope this year goes better

That should get you started with the genetics http://www.ballpython.ca/genetics.html, also most people would not waste a normal male on a Female Pied ;) (The breeding female pied is way too be valuable to be paired with a normal)

Are you 100% positive the spider is het albino? If you miss this year I would start to question the genetics of that female.

Here are, IMO the best genetic calculators out there.

    http://www.worldofballpythons.com/wizard/
    http://www.genetic-calculator.de/Calculator_EN.aspx

For your pairing specifically you would get 100% normals 100% het for Pied

Wow, no albinos or spiders out of 10 eggs? That is the worst odds ever. You need to appease the odds gods before trying that pairing again...
