Dead ball python
My baby libby died! omg idk what to do with myself :/ she had thrown up a baby mouse yesterday morning (fed 2 days ago) and i didnt think anything of it. Her sister is fine, kept down her meal. Ugh! they were my first ball pythons too.
What do i do with the bp, freeze her? i need to show the guy i bought her from, because i recieved them may 16th. :'(
So freezer?

If you plan on a necropsy, refrigerate and do not freeze her

Unfortunately it's all guesses unless you get a necropsy. :(

Yes. Refrigerate her. Freezing causes tissue damage and will hinder the necropsy. (some vets won't even preform a necropsy on a frozen specimen).
Do you feed F/T? Is it possible that your mouse wasn't properly thawed out?
What's your husbandry and set up like? Was she displaying any strange behaviors in the past few days?
-
A necropsy will run around $200 (I think), and could cost more with additional tests. I lost a snake a while back and regret not doing one however.
It probably wasn't anything you did since you only received the snakes 6 days ago, but who knows.
What was your husbandry like? (temps, humidity, etc)
Did it appear sick, lethargic, odd in some way?
lol didn't see satomi got to it before I did

Without knowing what kind of cage you had her in, what temps it was at, what sort of mouse it was that she threw up, was it thawed and warmed, bedding, shipping stress, etc. it's hard to say what the cause could be.
If you post more details, people could make 'educated guesses'.

Re: Dead ball python
Live. tried a rat pup, she refused. 2 days later tried a mouse hopper and she ate. day later she threw it up.

She was in a 28 qt tub, newspaper bedding, 50% humidity, 1 water bowl, 2 hides, 1 warm side 1 cool. warm side is at 90 degrees. ambient temp. is 80 degrees F.
