This guy is being offered by a local breeder for 500.00. What do you guys think. Would be for pairing with a bee and lesser.

I'm not a fan. Not enough color contrast between the body and the dorsal stripe for me.
It's pretty bland imo. I like to see 3 toned Jigsaws (distinct contrast in color on the body, stripe, and dorsal). Otherwise, it just looks like a busy pinstripe.

This is what I'd like to see in a Jig.

This is Jinx's Jigsaw. It's a really nice example of one:

Wow! That color contrast is really cool. I love that burgundy color and yellow stripe. Learn something knew every day, on BP net you learn 10 new things every day. :)

Thanks a lot. That is very helpful. I'm new to morphs and I definitely want to get quality. I knida thought the one I posted was washed out, but wasn't sure if that is normal. Maybe I'll check with Jinx to see if there are any available.

I personally don't like the high contrast. I'd go for OP's picture.

If you do not like the contrast, then I would not spend the money on a Jigsaw. As was stated before, a nice busy Pin will give you a lack of contrast and a very similar pattern.

Satomi, thanks for posting mine up there, it saves me having to do it :D

The nice thing about her is that she still looks like that at 1500g :O

I got her from Howard Leong at the Pomona show in Jan 2012.

I am of the opinion that most Mojave combos should have that distinction between the dorsal coloring and the sides. It is indicative of a quality Mojo in the ingredients.

To the OP, for $500 for a male, I would continue to look and see what pops up this season. Also maybe ask for another pic, that one could just be washed out a bit. Mine was MUCH brighter and defined than that one at the same size.

Oh, as for offspring from her this year, any Jigsaw's she produces will also be 100% het Desert Ghost and if they hit the market will go for around $3000.

Then what's the point in getting a Jigsaw then?
If you want monotone, then a pinstripe will suffice.
If you want it for breeding purposes, the low contrast is a sign of a low quality mojo gene.
